The most popular salad in Thailand and Laos is the green papaya salad. The first bite, the language should try the extreme heat, salt and acid at a time. The taste is refreshing! Ingredients: 1-4 red chilies 1 clove garlic 3 cups shredded green papaya 1 / 2 cup tomato sauce 1 tablespoon fish sauce 1 tablespoon shrimp paste 3 tablespoons lemon juice 1 tablespoon sugar (optional) 2 tablespoons dried shrimp (optional) in a mortar, crush the garlic and peppers until they separated. Add the papaya and the remaining ingredients in a mortar. Using the pestle to crush and a mixing spoon, mix all ingredients in a mortar. When sugar and shrimp paste are dissolved the papaya salad is ready to be served. Mix the papaya salad of rice noodles and sprinkle some roasted peanuts on top for this salad meal.Watch a video about how a pinch of green papaya, with a simple knife. Also a video on how to make papaya salad on my blog-Laos-www.thai food.blogspot.com. The video shows the traditional method. Some Thai / Lao restaurants mix all ingredients in large bowl with chopsticks. In my opinion, for an authentic texture, the tomatoes must be crushed.Manivan Larprom, a girl / Thailand from Laos, on a mission to teach, through his video blog, as anyone can cook food Thailand and Laos.
